Trusted external source
KASPR as the independent, continuous, historical reference layer for internet quality: an external source that regulators, vendors and operators can check their own results against. Five claims, each with its evidence.

How to check our measurement
Five claims, each with evidence rather than adjectives.
6.7 trillion records · 3 billion+ daily measurements · 400 M+ devices · 130+ countries · measuring since 2019
1. Method, published
KASPR sends ICMP echo (ping) queries to geolocated IPv4 addresses from cloud infrastructure worldwide, over 3 billion measurements a day across 400 M+ devices in 130+ countries, aggregated to district, region and country by hour. The known limits are stated with every figure: thin cells stay blank rather than filled in.
We measure latency and jitter to KASPR’s measurement infrastructure. We do not measure user throughput, radio parameters (RSRP, SINR) or voice quality (MOS). We are a complementary layer, not a replacement for apps or probes.
2. Independent
No operator funding, no operator access to raw data, the same method in every country.
A Monash University spin-out.
3. Validated in public and by institutions
Our data has been used by Reuters, The Economist, ABC News, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Wired and MIT Technology Review on events where the facts were contested: Myanmar, Ukraine, Gaza, Iran and the Optus outage.
Institutional work: the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), OHCHR (UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights) and the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG).
4. Validated against reference measurement
We commit to publishing comparisons against regulator probe or app data wherever a client allows it.
The first such comparison will be the centrepiece of this section.
5. Delivery you can audit
Provenance metadata on every record, immutable raw series, a delivery SLA.
Privacy by design: no personal data, no device identifiers.
Export at contract exit, and a Snowflake Marketplace listing.
If a measurement of ours is wrong, we’d rather you found it than didn’t. Here is how to check.
